We've gone prepping our garden bed! We'll be planting a couple varieties of lettuce, green onions, and more! We'll cover some of our molecule to organism standards, as well as applying the Scientific Method and Engineering Design Process principles.

Our P.E. teachers Jerry Bevaqua and Ted Enoki put on the 12th annual Turkey Trot. This year we met our schoolw goal of over 1,200 donated cans, and we actually had 1,349 cans donated! Thanks to everyone that helped out!
(Turkey Trot was moved to October in order to have more time in between it and the Jingle Bell Run in December.) Welcome back from Fall Break! To bring in the Fall season, we did some fun experiments with our 1st grade buddies! Helping them at each station, our students guided their buddy through each task involving pumpkins, and some fun holiday writing exercises!
I was sad to miss this year's school-wide event for Cardboard Challenge, but Mrs. Colte and others snapped pictures throughout the day! Thank for all your support at home to help students finish their projects, so much creativity and problem solving demonstrated this year! A special thanks to Tricia Mitchell and Melissa Jenkins for helping out in! Click the link below for pictures from the whole day!
goo.gl/ZWlFVJ Continuing our practice with the Engineering Design Process (EDP) students were proposed a challenge! They had to build a successful bridge with minimal supplies, and minimal time to research and plan. Ask them how it went! Not only are we practicing science, but students must collaboratively problem solve in order to succeed, teamwork is key!
