SpaceFEST is put on by Future Flight Hawaii (Part of the Hawaii Space Grant Consortium, from University of Hawaii at Manoa) It's a science activity based event where students and parents will get to interact with hands on science experiments! Thank you to the families that signed up and came!
We harvested our Manoa Lettuce and Green Mustard Cabbage plants! Students took them home in zip-locks for cooking with family. Thanks to the students who volunteered on our weekend/break watering schedule!
This quarter for Science we are doing STEM Fridays! (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Students work in teams to solve a problem! The problem for today's activity was to build the highest free standing tower out of 50 toothpicks and marshmallows! The students did a great job demonstrating team work, critical thinking, work ethic, and communication!
